A warm and simple space to enjoy an authentic and oriental dish. It stands as a friendly neighbor with “humble” as its main point, as it dwells in a residential area. This small café offers a Singaporean Chinese menu, such as Kaya Bread, Kopitiam, Tomyum, and Hainan Chicken, that want to reach middle up market that wanders to pick up their kids, wait for an appointment, or just want to have a quick snack. Still had a strong structure, but we managed to keep them and remove most of the walls so the seating area could feel more spacious. We have the kitchen to be open and close to the seating area to ma ke the “humble” element bold as it has less boundary.

Having ‘oriental’, ‘humble’, & ‘simple’ as its main concept, we treat the facade to blend into the neighborhood by choosing Clay Tile as its low canopy, which gives a humble impression. Also, to match i t and still get the authentic element for the cafe, we chose Terracotta Brick for outdoor flooring and low walls. From human eyes, these Terracotta and Clay Tiles will be a familiar local element that they won’t hesitate to visit. As for interiors, we had a great time collaborating with these teams, we made a table of Pattern Traditional Tiles, and had the chairs be a bit skeletal and industrial while putting wood as the main background which we used on the cabinet and cashier.
